| The construction of legal system since the reform and opening up in the rural areas of China was reviewed in this study from the perspective of agricultural laws and regulations as well as the legal system of rural social governance. Prospects were put forward for the legal system construction in new countryside, and the characteristics that such a legal system should have were analyzed: first, a relative perfect system for laws and regulations; second, obvious social consensus of laws; third, the factuality of laws unceasingly proposing new legal demands.
